The name
Why is it called Yeki?
Yeki in Persian means "one", "someone". It's the first word of yeki bood, yeki nabood — "once upon a time", literally "there was one, there was no one" — the formula that opens Persian fairy tales.
We recognized ourselves in that word. Because every journey, every gym, every community always starts the same way: from one. One person who decides to start. And from there a story is born.
The four dots next to the name aren't any ordinary dots: they are the community. One that becomes many.
The origin
Yeki wasn't born in an office.
It was born in a gym.
We were a group of friends, we trained together. We used the apps the market was pushing — the "competitors". And every day, the same things:
- 🐛 Bugs
- 🐌 Slow
- Features that didn't work
We did the right thing: sent feedback, reported bugs, suggested improvements. A lot of them.
Nothing happened.
The gym even switched providers, hoping things would change. Nothing. Different app, same problems, same indifference toward the people who actually use that app every day.
Until, at some point, the owner said something that changed everything:
«You know what?
Build it yourselves.»
And so we did.
First case study
Elite Lab, Passignano sul Trasimeno.
Not just any gym: a boutique gym, first-class service, a member base well above average for a boutique setting.
The hardest place to start. Which was perfect: if Yeki works there, it works anywhere.
We built the app listening every day to those who actually live that gym. No features designed at a desk. Just things that matter.
And then
Something we didn't
plan for.
Elite Lab members moving away, or switching to a closer gym, started asking for it. They wanted Yeki at their new gyms — because what they were finding was, in their words, terrible.
They had tried something good. There's no going back.
That's when we realized Yeki wasn't just one gym's app. It was something missing for everyone.
Our vision

And do it right.
No plans designed for some "average human" that doesn't exist. Because no one is the average. Everyone is someone. And everyone deserves to be followed — by a real person, a coach who knows them, and by technology that actually keeps them company while they train.
On this we're clear: technology doesn't decide. It accompanies. A person thinks the path, not an algorithm. Technology comes after. It follows you, reminds you, shows you progress, keeps you on track.
The algorithm doesn't say who you are. It helps you do well what you chose.
